Download your Google goggles for iPhone 3GS & 4

Android users got the Google Mobile app for searching by taking a picture, 10 months ago and since then Google goggles have been one of the key points of excellence and competition against Elf. Android users rightly boasted wonderful and very practical features of the app that Elf users were unable to enjoy. No longer.

Google can let go of the competitive advantage which it had over Elf with Google goggles, but it has finally released the app for the iPhone 3GS and 4 driving 4.0 or higher.Google announced on their official Google Mobile blog today that they have placed an app as an element in their Google Mobile app on both phones. Google explained the new and revamped features of the app, "says:

In the new version of Google Mobile App just by tapping the button camera to search with goggles. Goggles analyzes the image and select the object that it recognizes – just click on them to find out more.

Google goggles treats photos taken with your phone and create search results for things like business cards and books through to recognize text in these images; it recognises also landmarks, paintings and other historical artifacts. Google to the ability to translate text in images for a few months ago.Elf version but is available in English only for now.
